RAISING KIDS AMIDST RISING SEAS

Join us for our latest Climate Chat, a new series of artist-led conversations with leading activists working on the frontlines of our climate crisis. LALA artist-in-residence Sandra Portal-Andreu interviews Jane Gilbert, Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Miami, addressing the myriad challenges facing families amidst our ongoing climate crisis.

What world will our children inherit? Will they have clean drinking water? What hardships and struggles will they face in the future, and how will their children be impacted? Will they struggle with the very notion of having children itself?

In the face of these urgent questions and extraordinary worries, as mothers raising children themselves, Sandra Portal-Andreu and Jane Gilbert explore the intricacies of a world in climate crisis, and explore ways we can better prepare our children for an uncertain future. What actions can we take as families to create lasting and positive change? How can we empower ourselves and our kids to work towards a healthier planet?

Find out the answer in this special Mother’s day edition of our #ClimateChats and learn all about Sandra’s new project to empower kids to raise their voice for the planet as part of her LALA residency. Join us!
