ACCESSIBILITY

Our commitment

We’re committed to easy and equal access to the live arts.

To ensure we provide equal access, we strive to make our programs accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments.

As part of our commitment to accessibility, we ensure that:

  • Our website follows accessibility best practices, and is compatible with screen readers and magnifiers, speech recognition software, and speech packages.
  • We use venues with ground-level/no-step entry ramped access, assistive listening devices, integrated wheelchair seating areas, and wheelchair-accessible restrooms and parking spaces.
  • Accommodate service animals at all season performances and programs.
  • Provide assistive listening devices where available and sign language interpretation upon request.
  • Offer Personal Assistants to attend events at no charge.
  • Provide low-cost/free tickets to all performances to MDC students, faculty, and staff, as well as students in the community.
