2022 Artistry In Rhythm (AIR) Dance Conference
UPCLOSE: Emerging Legacies, Dance Ethnography, and Innovation
The 2022 Artistry in Rhythm (A.I.R.) Dance Conference is a dance symposium centered on intergenerational learning and mentorship. Its goal is creating environments that foster artistic development and personal growth through the creative practice of dance. This year’s UPCLOSE theme bridges the gaps between undergraduate, graduate, and professional artistry through innovation, rigor, abundance, and longevity.
Organized by MDC Kendall Campus’ Performing Arts and Industries Department, and Jubilation Dance Ensemble, this annual event offers a unique immersion into the world of socially-committed contemporary dance, an experience and celebration of the transformative and restorative power of expressive movement.
Join master dance classes and conversations with the established, nationally recognized choreographers and teachers. Experience the power of community and coalition in movement through a rigorous curriculum of technical training. Find yourself at the crossroads of change-making and embodied creativity.
