Fresh Moves + Local Vibes
Miami DanceMakers is an artist driven, community infused, fresh move maker project. For six-months, five selected MDM artists are paired with local creative development partners throughout Miami that offer in-kind rehearsal space and co-host monthly showings for local audiences. In exchange, MDM artists volunteer to support their partners behind the scenes providing MDM artists with personal access to a professional network.
On October 7th, 2021, the Pérez Art Museum of Miami (PAMM) will present the premiere of the new dance works that are inspired by visual art on exhibit at PAMM. MDM artists are recent college graduates and promising dance artists eager to become Miami’s next generation of creative visionaries. The project was founded by Miami based nationally recognized Artistic Director of Adele Myers and Dancers who recognized the caliber of Miami’s pre-professional dance artists and their need for a local network to help them thrive after graduation.
