Date & Time: Sunday, December 13 | 2:00-5:00 PM
Argentine performer, director, and physical-theatre artist Luciano Cortes leads the participatory workshop Beautifully Ridiculous: Commedia dell’Arte, Physical Comedy & Street Theatre.
What happens when you turn up the body, break the rules, and give yourself permission to look ridiculous – on purpose? Through Commedia dell’Arte, physical comedy, improvisation, and character play, participants will explore how movement and imagination can transform any space into theatre.
Cortes is an Argentine performer, director, and physical-theatre artist with Teatro Salvaje. His work brings together Commedia dell’Arte, street theatre, clowning, improvisation, and visual storytelling. His international career includes work with Fuerza Bruta, as well as directing and performing in Teatro Salvaje productions including Robinson Crusoe and FUNDARTE’s RESET.
LALA Open Studio is part of Live Arts Labs Alliance (LALA), Live Arts Miami’s creative community program.
