Choreographer, dancer, teacher, and Inkub8 artistic director Heather Maloney leads the participatory workshop Here | Improvisation Practice.

What happens when movement begins with the impulse to move – and to be moved? Through a state-based improvisation practice, participants will explore body ecology, presence, and the visceral, kinetic expression of the present moment.

Known for her highly expressive and kinesthetic approach, Maloney draws on improvisational structures to create state-based choreographic environments and explore the body as a site of movement, perception, and response.

LALA Open Studio is part of Live Arts Labs Alliance (LALA), Live Arts Miami’s creative community program.
