As part of Open House Miami, Miami Dade College’s Cultural Affairs Department presents Caribbean Contrasts – a free evening at the Koubek Center celebrating architecture, art, music, film, literature, and community.
Within this vibrant constellation of voices, Live Arts Miami invites you to skip happy hour and enter Sad Hours, an immersive pop-up performance by our Artist-in-Residence Rosie Herrera. Join us on February 27 from 7–9 PM inside the historic Koubek Mansion, where the beautifully tragic music of the Caribbean inspires an exploration of memory, identity, and homeland, and the unexpected joy of shared catharsis.
Sad Hours is part of Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre’s creative journey toward a new work.
This event is free and open to the public. Please register in advance.
Complimentary valet parking available on a first come, first serve basis.
