Join us for the culminating event of the inaugural LALA WIPS (Work in Process)! An afternoon of raw, radical, and in-progress performances by three exceptional local artists who have spent the past two months developing their work through a series of feedback-driven labs led by LALA’s curator and mentor, Octavio Campos.
Out of dozens of applicants, these three artists were selected for their unique visions and willingness to explore the creative unknown. Now, they’re ready to share 20-minute excerpts of their pieces with you, the public—because your insight is part of the process.

Amber Joy Layne – Body of Work
A wild blend of dance, theater, comedy, and media, exploring the contradictions of identity through movement and satire.
Alex Gonzalez – La Botanica
An immersive performance fusing theater, dance, and storytelling, rooted in ancestral knowledge and urban myth.
Macarena Pastor Olivares – Proyecto Mudar / Mudar Project
A powerful meditation on transformation through contemporary dance and video. Physical, visual, and deeply personal.
